The Professional Lifeguard Course covers 3 areas of training:
- First Aid
When you pass the course you will be certified in Lifeguarding, Professional CPR and First Aid for 2 years. All 3 phases must be completed in consecutive days with passing scores to recieve your certification.
The full program course is 2 days 8am - 6pm both days
To attend the course you must meet the following criteria:
- Be at least 15 years old.
- Swim 300 yards continuously, using freestyle and breaststroke.
- Surface dive and retrieve a 10lb brick from at least 8ft deep.
- Tread water for 2 minutes without using your arms or hands.
Please make sure that these criteria are met before signing up for the class. There is a short video below to show you what these skills look like. If you cannot pass the course we will be happy to reschedule your training after you have had some time to practice, on your own time. Be aware that there is a NO REFUND POLICY for not being able to pass the class, or for not showing up to a class. If you can not attend the course we require 24hrs notice for cancelation.
Please make sure you bring your bathing suit(no bikinis), towel, change of clothes, pen, drinks and lunch or lunch money to class with you both days.
If you are late to the class you may be turned away and asked to reschedule. Please be on time.
Payment is due before the start of class. Please do not come to class without payment.
We reserve the right to cancel any class with 24 hrs notice if minimum attendance of 10 students is not met.
Please make sure your pool/pool company accepts our certifications before registering. WE ARE NOT RED CROSS!
